Despite this, financial authorities continue to promote and advocate for CBDCs. The implementation of CBDCs has resulted in inefficiencies and unnecessary expenditures by governments. However, the reasons behind the persistence in pushing CBDCs by financial authorities remain unclear. It is crucial to analyze the motivations and potential benefits that drive these authorities to continue advocating for CBDCs, despite the negative experiences observed in different regions.
